A Chennai-based multi-specialty hospital and healthcare brand approached SARAS Works to probe into the existing inefficiencies in their decade-old legacy systems and processes, in order to gear up for their next phase of growth. Though the 200-employee company had all the necessary software in place, a survey revealed the siloed and passive manner in which data was stored, retrieved or shared for internal reporting and growth planning. The issue was clearly identified as a training and implementation issue as, despite the availability of a good software backbone, usage was lagging behind. The company was also keen on expanding its strategic alliances with existing clients to unlock new areas of growth.
SARAS Works took a two-pronged approach in their intervention plan. Firstly, the staff members were led into a structured training plan to familiarize them with all the existing software features. This strengthening of the digital backbone united the staff members to think and act as one team. Secondly, the company’s training and talent retention plan was upgraded using a business process redesign. Formats and operating procedures were clearly defined in a fluid and easy manner for everyone to follow. The organizational culture was also given a makeover, with an improved communications plan and a cadence that ensured inter-departmental alignment and collaboration.
The unhurried and objective approach of the SARAS Works team made the organizational refresh project successful and sustainable. The project helped the company to implement a structural and behavioral change among its employees to add value and growth to the organization.
